Custom Tilea  – Hand-Painted Ceramic Portrait Tiles 

Not just a portrait,  a character.

More than a portrait. A little story, the Thetis way.

These personalized tiles are not simply portraits. They’re little illustrated stories, inspired by real people, pets, personalities, habits and all those charming little quirks that make us who we are.

Your photos are just the starting point. From there, I reinterpret everything through my own artistic universe, with a touch of retro charm, subtle irony and a little unexpected twist.

The idea isn’t to reproduce exactly what I see, but to capture something of who you are, in a way you might never have imagined.

Each piece is designed to capture personality and expression with a touch of playful irony.

 As shown in the examples on the site, the portraits are not figurative replicas: I transform each subject into my illustrated characters. I keep key features recognizable, but the final result is always in a unique, stylized art style.

Dimensions: 20 × 20 cm ( without frame) 24x24 ( with frame)
Material: hand-painted glazed ceramic
Use: decorative wall tile
Available: with or without the wooden wall base.

The wooden version turns the tile into a small three-dimensional window, complete with its own little sill.

How it works:

1. After your purchase, we will contact you directly to begin the personalisation process.
2. You send us one or more clear photos of the person (or animal).
3. We create a digital sketch in our signature style and send it for your approval.
4. Once approved, the portrait is hand-painted in ceramic.
5. After the full ceramic process (including kiln firings), your tile  is ready to ship.

Custom Orders – Important Information

Please note that all custom pieces are entirely handmade and created specifically for you. For this reason, the production time is approximately 4–5 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the ceramic process.

Each piece goes through multiple stages, including drying and firing, which require fixed technical times that cannot be rushed.

If you have a specific deadline due to a special occasion, please feel free to let me know in advance, I will always do my best to accommodate your request whenever possible.

As every custom order is uniquely made to your specifications, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
